JAL Hotels Co., Ltd. Will Reopen  Hotel JAL City Yotsuya Tokyo on September 1st after Renovations

June 25, 2007, Tokyo – JAL Hotels Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mamoru Tsutsumi) announced today that all 185 guest rooms of Hotel JAL City Yotsuya Tokyo (Location: Shinjuku-ku, Yotsuya; General Manager: Hirokazu Hazama) will go under renovations and the hotel will reopen on September 1st upon their completion. Due to the work being done, the hotel will be closed Sunday, July 22 – Friday, August 31. However, reservations and inquiries will be taken during this period.
Based on the new interior design concept, “urban natural life,” the rooms will feature the texture of the woods to give them a calm feeling so that business persons with an urban working life can relax with comfort. The color scheme consists of two colors: chic and calming brown and light and comforting beige, which alternate floors. The public spaces such as the entrance hall and lobby will be also renovated with an updated, simple yet sophisticated design, adding warm ceiling lights to give an impression of comfort and safety, as well as a feeling of anticipation to all visitors.  NOMURA Co., Ltd., (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), which has a reputation for designing large-scale commercial complexes, store displays and interiors, is in charge of the design.
After the renovation, the guest rooms are expected to offer not only smart and stylish design, but also additional convenience for business travelers. The new features and equipment will include: fast-speed LAN; functional desks and chairs; storage space for files and gadgets and new lighting. Also, thin LCD TVs and duvets will be placed in all of the rooms.
Hotel JAL City Yotsuya Tokyo, which is located on Shinjuku-dori, a minute on foot from Yotsuya 3-chome station on the Marunouchi subway line, opened in February, 1997. The hotel, with facilities including a restaurant, banquet room, meeting room and business center, has an ideal location for both business and leisure with easy access to major business areas and government offices in Tokyo. This major renovation that covers rooms, the lobby and banquet room will celebrate the hotel’s 10th anniversary.
